2023 NFL season, Week 13: Notable injuries, news from Sunday's games

Here are the injuries and news we're monitoring around the league on this Week 13 Sunday:

  • Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown did not return versus the Steelers due to a heel injury. Running back Emari Demercado cleared concussion protocol but was ruled out with a neck injury.
  • Atlanta Falcons cornerback A.J. Terrell was ruled out with a concussion versus the Jets. Offensive tackle Kaleb McGary (knee) did not return.
  • Carolina Panthers linebacker Brian Burns was ejected after throwing a punch on Bucs offensive tackle Cody Mauch.
  • Cleveland Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper was ruled out after being evaluated for a head injury versus the Rams.
  • Detroit Lions center Frank Ragnow (knee) was ruled out versus the Saints.
  • Green Bay Packers wide receiver Christian Watson suffered a hamstring injury and did not return versus the Chiefs.
  • Houston Texans wide receiver Tank Dell (ankle) suffered a fractured fibula on Sunday against the Broncos.
  • Kansas City Chiefs offensive tackle Donovan Smith (neck) did not return Sunday against the Packers. Linebacker Drue Tranquill (concussion) was ruled out. Safety Bryan Cook (ankle) was ruled out after being carted off. Running back Isiah Pacheco was ejected in the fourth quarter for throwing a punch at Packers cornerback Keisean Nixon.
  • Los Angeles Rams tight end Tyler Higbee (concussion) did not return versus the Browns.
  • Miami Dolphins linebacker Jerome Baker (knee) was ruled out of Sunday's game versus the Commanders. Offensive tackles Terron Armstead (ankle) and Robert Hunt (hamstring) did not return.
  • New England Patriots running back Rhamondre Stevenson (ankle) and cornerback Shaun Wade (illness) were ruled out versus the Chargers.
  • New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr is in concussion protocol and suffered shoulder and back injuries in Sunday's loss versus the Lions.
  • New York Jets quarterback Tim Boyle was benched for Trevor Siemian in the fourth quarter against the Falcons after going 14 of 25 for 148 yards and an interception. Wide receiver Jason Brownlee (ankle), tight end C.J. Uzomah (knee) and defensive tackle Perrion Winfrey (ankle) were ruled out.
  • Philadelphia Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro was ejected from the game after an altercation with 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw.
  • Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Kenny Pickett is expected to miss Thursday's Week 14 game against the Patriots and potentially more time due to an ankle injury suffered Sunday against Arizona, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, per sources. Mitchell Trubisky entered Sunday's game in relief for Pickett. Guard Isaac Seumalo (shoulder) and linebacker Elandon Roberts (groin) were also ruled out versus the Cardinals.
  • San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw was ejected after an altercation with Eagles chief security officer Dom DiSandro.
  • Tampa Bay Buccaneers linebacker K.J. Britt (back) was ruled out versus the Panthers.
  • Tennessee Titans defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons (knee) was ruled out versus the Colts.
  • Washington Commanders running back Brian Robinson Jr. (hamstring) was ruled out versus the Dolphins. Defensive tackle John Ridgeway (shin) did not return.
