The NFL announced Monday that Brandon Collins has been suspended without pay for the first four games of the 2013 regular season for violating the NFL Policy and Program for Substances of Abuse.

Collins will be eligible to return to the Giants' active roster September 30. He was an undrafted rookie last year out of Southeastern Louisiana who made some noise in the offseason before spending the year on the team's practice squad.
