Buccaneers RB Bucky Irving gathering opinions on lower leg injury as Week 5 status is up in air

Tampa Bay Buccaneers second-year running back Bucky Irving is dealing with a lower leg injury.

Irving is gathering medical opinions on what's being characterized as an ankle or foot injury, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday evening.

The Bucs' burgeoning dual threat is sore and his status for his team's Week 5 game against the Seattle Seahawks is up in the air, according to Garafolo and Rapoport.

Irving had a big Sunday in the Bucs' 31-25 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles, rushing for a team-high 63 yards on 15 attempts, while hauling in a team-best five receptions for 102 yards, with a 72-yard touchdown catch included.

The Oregon product still shares time with Rachaad White, but is the unequivocal lead back for the Bucs, boasting 71 carries for 237 yards and 19 receptions for 193 yards and two TD catches. Irving's carries, rushing yards and catches all lead the Bucs.

Tampa Bay practices for the first time this week on Wednesday, with Irving's injury status now something to monitor for the 3-1 Bucs.
