If the Ravens want to keep the best guard duo in football, it's going to cost them.
Four-time Pro Bowl right guard Marshal Yanda and road-grading left guard Kelechi Osemele are both entering contract years in Baltimore after paving the way for Justin Forsett's surprising breakout season in 2014.
The Ravens' brass have made it clear this offseason, per the Baltimore Sun, that signing Yanda to an extension is a priority.
The only guard on NFL Network's "Top 100 Players of 2015" list, Yanda won't come cheaply. Heading into the final season of a five-year, $32.5 million contract, the 30-year-old is widely viewed as the best player at his position.
One potential hangup is Yanda's age. His play merits a richer contract than those of Arizona's Mike Iupati and San Diego's Orlando Franklin, who signed five-year deals for $40 million and $36.5 million, respectively, in March.
The Ravens have drafted insurance in the form of John Urschel and Robert Myers the past two years.
Will they be willing to hand Yanda upwards of $25 million in guarantees with Osemele, linebacker Courtney Upshaw, safety Will Hill, kicker Justin Tucker and punter Sam Koch also set to reach free agency?
It will be one of the stories to track out of Baltimore over the summer months.
