Cardinals put OLB Davis on injured reserve, sign WR Komar

The Arizona Cardinals placed Will Davis on injured reserve Tuesday after the linebacker broke his fibula during a 31-13 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, the team announced.

The Cardinals used Davis' roster spot to re-sign rookie wide receiver Max Komar. The team also promoted rookie cornerback Marshay Green from the practice squad to the 53-man roster and released rookie running back Alfonso Smith.

Davis had started three games in place of injured starter Clark Haggans, whom Cardinals coach Ken Whisenhunt said is expected back this week.

Komar has appeared in six games for the Cardinals this season with six receptions for 60 yards and five punt returns for 31 yards. Komar was signed as an undrafted free agent from Idaho during the offseason.
