Philadelphia Eagles middle linebacker Stewart Bradley, who sustained a concussion in the team's season-opening 27-20 loss to the Green Bay Packers, is set to return to the field against the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, the team announced Friday.
"That's huge," defensive coordinator Sean McDermott said. "We have that big body back inside from a performance standpoint, but also from a leadership standpoint."
The team also listed quarterback Kevin Kolb as probable, although Eagles coach Andy Reid announced on Wednesday that Michael Vick will start at EverBank Field in Jacksonille.
"There's not a thing that changed with Kevin Kolb," Reid said Wednesday, amidst a move that sparked reaction from players and fans alike. "This was all about Michael Vick and the way he has played the game. It's that simple. He has played as outstanding as any quarterback in the league to this point.
"He exceeded even my expectation. Kevin Kolb has a bright, bright future. My feelings about Kevin haven't changed one bit. But Michael has surprised all of us with his play."
Vick has thrown for 459 yards and three touchdowns, run for 140 yards, and posted a completion percentage of 63.8 and passer rating of 105.5 in 1½ games. He has yet to throw an interception.
Also listed as probable were tight end Brent Celek (chest), guard Nick Cole (knee), defensive end Brandon Graham (shoulder), guard Todd Herremans (ankle), tackle Austin Howard (back) and defensive tackle Trevor Laws (oblique).
For the Jaguars, linebacker Justin Durant, who sprained his left ankle at San Diego last week, was ruled out Friday.
Durant missed practice all week and had been wearing an air cast. Second-year player Russell Allen is expected to replace Durant in the starting lineup.
Backup defensive tackle Landon Cohen (knee) also was ruled out. Running back Maurice Jones-Drew (ankle) practiced fully Friday and is probable. Linebacker Daryl Smith (thigh) and guards Uche Nwaneri (foot) and Justin Smiley (ankle) also are probable.
Safety Anthony Smith (turf toe) and kickoff returner Deji Karim (thumb) are questionable. Both missed last week's game.
