Donald Brown expected to sit; Brian Hartline to play

The Miami Dolphins enter Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a chance to jump into a tie for first place in the AFC East at 5-3. They should have the keys to their passing game available.

NFL.com and NFL Network's Albert Breer reports that Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill, who is recovering from a knee and quadriceps injury, will start. Breer also reports that Tannehill's top wide receiver, Brian Hartline, also is active.

We'll be tracking all the injury news throughout Sunday morning right here, so refresh often. Here's the other injury news:

  1. Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jordy Nelson will start Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals after missing last week's game with a sore hamstring.
  1. Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson (knee) is active for Sunday's game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. He could be limited. Lions safety Louis Delmas (knee) is out.
  1. Colts linebacker Robert Mathis (knee) told Breer that he will play against the Dolphins. Huge news for a so-so Colts defense.
  1. The Colts also downgraded running back Donald Brown to questionable Saturday because of his knee problems. Brown is active, but he might not play his usual big role. Tight end Coby Fleener is out for Indianapolis.
  1. NFL.com and NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant is a true game-time decision because of a bothersome hip, according to a source who has spoken with the player. Bryant is pushing hard to play, but the Cowboys are trying to be cautious. Byrant told Rapoport on Thursday that his hip "hurts." The Cowboys play the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday night.
  1. The Philadelphia Eagles activated Mike Patterson off the non-football injury list in anticipation of him playing on Monday night. The defensive tackle had a scary medical issue involving a congenital tangle of blood vessels in his brain that required surgery.

  1. Houston Texans backup running back Ben Tate (hamstring) is out against the Buffalo Bills.
  1. Titans quarterback Jake Locker (left shoulder) is inactive once again, as expected. Matt Hasselbeck will start against the Chicago Bears.
  1. Aldrick Robinson will start at wide receiver over Leonard Hankerson in the Washington Redskins' game against the Carolina Panthers. Pierre Garcon (foot) is out again for the Redskins and could be done for the season.
  1. Panthers wide receiver Brandon LaFell (head) is inactive against the Redskins, as expected.
  1. Cincinnati Bengals rookie cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick is active for the first time all season. The first-round draft pick injured his left knee during the summer, but he dressed against the Denver Broncos.
