Eighteen things to know from Week 13 injury report

The Jaguars will be without their most prolific scoring receiver this weekend.

According to the team, Allen Hurns (concussion) will not play against the Titans this weekend in a thrilling edition of the Mike Mularkey Bowl. Hurns was briefly hospitalized with the head injury after a narrow loss to the Chargers last week.

Hurns deserves a rest. Despite a series of nagging injuries from head to toe, he's put up seven touchdowns, almost 50 catches and 758 receiving yards. After being plucked from the undrafted masses by general manager Dave Caldwell, he's become a favorite target for Blake Bortles.

Running back Toby Gerhart (groin) and linebacker Dan Skuta (groin) are also out.

The news likely means what we all expected: More camera time for tight end Julius Thomas, who is slowly becoming another one of Bortles' favorite wide receivers. Over the last two weeks, Thomas has been targeted 18 times, catching 14 balls for 144 yards and two touchdowns.

Here are some other injury updates from Friday we are tracking:

  1. New York Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis (concussion) is out for Sunday's interstate battle against the New York Giants, meaning football fans will be deprived of an epic matchup between him and Odell Beckham.
