Fantasy injury report: Week 13

The following is a list of injured players for Week 13 (Nov. 29-Dec. 3) and all the fantasy implications:

Dec. 2-3

**Arizona Cardinals**
Out: DT Ross Kolodziej (quadriceps), S Adrian Wilson (heel); Doubtful: S Aaron Francisco (calf), WR Jerheme Urban (heel); Questionable: WR Larry Fitzgerald (groin); Probable: QB Kurt Warner (left elbow).

Fantasy take: Warner put in a full practice on Friday and will start against Cleveland. Fitzgerald remained limited and could be a gametime decision, so keep tabs on his status. Arizona's defense and fantasy owners in IDP leagues both take a hit with Wilson out for the season.

**Atlanta Falcons**
Questionable: QB Byron Leftwich (tailbone); Probable: LB Michael Boley (elbow), TE Alge Crumpler (foot).

Fantasy take: QB Joey Harrington will remain Atlanta's starter, so Leftwich's status matters little in fantasy circles. Crumpler was limited in Friday's practice, but he is probable and should start. However, Crumpler should not be considered a No. 1 fantasy tight end. WR Joe Horn (hamstring, foot), was removed from the injury report.

**Baltimore Ravens**
Out: QB Steve McNair (left shoulder), WR Demetrius Williams (ankle); Questionable: TE Todd Heap (thigh), CB Chris McAlister (knee), S Gerome Sapp (thigh); Probable: DT Justin Bannan (ankle), T Jared Gaither (illness), LB Jarret Johnson (thumb), RB Willis McGahee (ankle), LB Gary Stills (knee), TE Daniel Wilcox (foot).

Fantasy take: QB Kyle Boller will start in the absence of McNair, who will miss another week. McGahee put in a full practice on Friday and will start in Week 13. Heap didn't do work, so his status is much more uncertain. The possible absence of McAlister makes the Patriots wide receivers even more attractive.

**Buffalo Bills**
Out: CB Jerametrius Butler (calf), DE Chris Kelsay (ankle), RB Marshawn Lynch (ankle), RB Anthony Thomas (calf), LB Coy Wire (neck); Probable: DT Larry Tripplett (abdomen).

Fantasy take: Lynch and Thomas are both inactive, so the Bills will have to use RB Fred Jackson as their featured back in Washington. The Bills have some injuries on defense, which is good news for the value of Washington's offensive skill position players.

**Carolina Panthers**
Doubtful: WR Dwayne Jarrett (knee); Probable: CB Chris Gamble (thumb), DE Mike Rucker (illness), QB Vinny Testaverde (back).

Fantasy take: Testaverde practiced all week and will start against San Francisco. That's good news for the value of WR Steve Smith.

**Chicago Bears**
Out: RB Cedric Benson (ankle); Probable: LB Lance Briggs (hamstring), DT Tommie Harris (knee), KR Devin Hester (foot), T Fred Miller (ankle), CB Nathan Vasher (groin).

Fantasy take: Benson is out for the season, so Adrian Peterson will start against the New York Giants. He's a borderline No. 2 or 3 fantasy back in Week 13. Hester was limited in Friday's practice but is listed as probable and should be active.

**Cincinnati Bengals**
Out: T Willie Anderson (knee); Probable: WR T.J. Houshmandzadeh (back), S Dexter Jackson (wrist), WR Chad Johnson (knee), LB Landon Johnson (back), S Nedu Ndukwe (Achilles), CB Deltha O'Neal (knee), DT John Thornton (knee), RB Kenny Watson (hip).

Fantasy take: Houshmandzadeh, Chad Johnson and Watson put in a full practice on Friday, and all three should be active in Week 13.

**Cleveland Browns**
Doubtful: DT Ethan Kelley, CB Eric Wright (knee); Questionable: WR Braylon Edwards (hamstring), LB Antwan Peek (knee), DE Orpheus Roye (knee); Probable: TE Steve Heiden (ankle), T Kevin Shaffer (knee), DE Robaire Smith (knee).

Fantasy take: Edwards returned to full practice on Friday and will start in Arizona. The Browns have some injuries on defense, but this unit doesn't warrant much fantasy consideration in most formats.

**Denver Broncos**
Out: RB Andre Hall (ankle); Questionable: WR Javon Walker (knee), WR Glenn Martinez (ankle); Probable: DE John Engelberger (shoulder), RB Travis Henry (knee), S John Lynch (ribs), P Todd Sauerbrun (left hamstring), RB Paul Smith (calf), WR Brandon Stokley (knee), RB Selvin Young (knee).

Fantasy take: Barring setbacks or a league-imposed suspension, it appears Henry will start in Week 13. He's a solid choice against Oakland's bad run defense. Walker and Stokley both put in full practices on Friday, but the latter seems more certain to be active.

**Detroit Lions**
Out: DE Ikaika Alama-Francis (hamstring).

Fantasy take: No significant injuries.

**Houston Texans**
Out: RB Ahman Green (knee); Doubtful: CB Dexter Wynn (thigh); Questionable: LB Danny Clark (groin); Probable: K Kris Brown (left foot), DE Earl Cochran (illness), WR Andre Johnson (knee), DE Ndukwe Kalu (knee), G Chester Pitts (knee).

Fantasy take: Green is out for another week, so RB Ron Dayne will start and is a nice flex option. Johnson was limited in Friday's practice, but he's listed as probable and should start in Arizona.

**Indianapolis Colts**
Out: T Daniel Federkeil (concussion); Questionable: T Ryan Diem (ankle), WR Marvin Harrison (knee), CB Tim Jennings (upper leg); Probable: LB Gary Brackett (illness), T Charlie Johnson (hamstring), TE Ben Utecht (groin).

Fantasy take: Harrison was out of practice all week is expected to be inactive, so WR Anthony Gonzalez would start against Jacksonville. He's a decent option in larger leagues. Utecht practiced on Friday and should be active.

**Jacksonville Jaguars**
Out: LB Mike Peterson (hand); Questionable: WR John Broussard (ankle); Probable: RB Greg Jones (knee), WR Dennis Northcutt (foot).

Fantasy take: Northcutt put in a full practice on Friday and should be active in Week 13.

**Kansas City Chiefs**
Out: RB Larry Johnson (foot); Questionable: QB Brodie Croyle (back), LB Keyaron Fox (back); Probable: S Jarrad Page (illness), T Will Svitek (foot), CB Patrick Surtain (shoulder).

Fantasy take: With Johnson out for another week, RB Kolby Smith will start and is a viable No. 2 fantasy back against San Diego. Croyle missed Friday's practice and is not expected to start in Week 13, so veteran QB Damon Huard will take over the offense. That's good news for the value of WR Dwayne Bowe and TE Tony Gonzalez.

**Miami Dolphins**
Out: LB Zach Thomas (migraine); Questionable: DT Vonnie Holliday (ankle), DE Matt Roth (groin); Probable: RB Jesse Chatman (ankle), LB Edmond Miles (ankle), DT Keith Traylor (ankle).

Fantasy take: Chatman returned to full work on Friday and should start in Week 13. He's a nice low-end sleeper in most formats against a porous Jets run defense.

**Minnesota Vikings**
Out: S Tank Williams (knee); Doubtful: WR Troy Williamson (concussion); Questionable: LB Dontarrious Thomas (groin), CB Antoine Winfield (hamstring); Probable: C Matt Birk (knee), RB Adrian Peterson (knee), RB Tony Richardson (knee), DE Kenechi Udeze (player decision).

Fantasy take: Peterson saw limited work in Friday's practice, but he is still expected to return in Week 13. That hurts the value of RB Chester Taylor, who would no longer be featured in the offense. The possible absence of Winfield would increase the value of Lions WR Roy Williams.

**New England Patriots**
Out: LB Rosevelt Colvin (foot); Probable: QB Tom Brady (right shoulder).

Fantasy take: Brady put in a full practice on Friday and will start in Week 13. WR Wes Welker (team decision) was removed from the injury report and should be active on fantasy football teams.

**New Orleans Saints**
Questionable: DT McKinley Boykin (knee), RB Pierre Thomas (kidney).

Fantasy take: RB Reggie Bush (shin) was removed from the injury report and will start against Tampa Bay.

**New York Giants**
Doubtful: RB Brandon Jacobs (hamstring), CB Aaron Ross (hamstring), S Gibril Wilson (knee); Questionable: WR Plaxico Burress (ankle, knee), WR Steve Smith (hamstring); Probable: LB Antonio Pierce (ankle), RB Derrick Ward (ankle, groin).

Fantasy take: Burress won't practice much the rest of the season, and now there's chance he could miss Week 13. Jacobs miss Friday's practice and is not expected to play in Chicago. That makes Ward, who put in a full practice, a nice sleeper candidate. The Giants also have some injuries to their defensive backfield, which could be good news for Chicago's wide receivers.

**New York Jets**
Out: WR Jerricho Cotchery (finger); Questionable: CB David Barrett (hip), WR Laveranues Coles (ankle), TE James Dearth (foot), DT Dewayne Robertson (knee); Probable: TE Chris Baker (back), WR Chris Davis (shoulder), TE Joe Kowalewski (shoulder), DT C.J. Mosley (shoulder), WR Brad Smith (back).

Fantasy take: Cotchery is out for Week 13. but Coles did limited some work on Friday and has a chance to start. If Cotchery and Coles are both out, Smith and WR Justin McCareins would see more work in the New York pass attack.

**Oakland Raiders**
Out: S Jarrod Cooper (knee); Questionable: QB Daunte Culpepper (quadriceps); Probable: LB Isaiah Ekejiuba (ankle), DE Derrick Burgess (Achilles), C Jake Grove (knee), S Stuart Schweigert (calf), QB Josh McCown (left finger).

Fantasy take: Culpepper missed Friday's practice, so it appears McCown will start in Week 13. The Raiders have some injuries on defense, but this unit warrants minimal consideration in fantasy football.

**Philadelphia Eagles**
Doubtful: QB Donovan McNabb (ankle), S Quintin Mikell (knee); Questionable: DT Brodrick Bunkley (knee); Probable: WR Kevin Curtis (thigh), CB William James (foot), WR Greg Lewis (chest), RB Brian Westbrook (knee).

Fantasy take: McNabb's status for Week 13 is in serious doubt, so A.J. Feeley will be called on to start against Seattle. Westbrook has experienced some swelling in his knee this week, but he put in a full practice on Friday and will start.

**Pittsburgh Steelers**
Out: WR Santonio Holmes (ankle); Questionable: S Troy Polamalu (knee), T Marvel Smith (back); Probable: CB Bryant McFadden (ankle).

Fantasy take: Holmes will miss Week 13, so WRs Cedrick Wilson and Nate Washington will see more work on Sunday night. WR Hines Ward (team decision) was removed from the injury report and will start against Cincinnati. Polamalu remains a question mark, but the Steelers defense is still a solid fantasy choice.

**San Diego Chargers**
Out: DT Luis Castillo; Probable: LB Shawne Merriman (illness).

Fantasy take: The continued absence of Castillo is a real positive for the value of Chiefs RB Kolby Smith.

**San Francisco 49ers**
Out: CB Marcus Hudson (knee), CB Shawntae Spencer (quadriceps); Doubtful: WR Jason Hill (groin), QB Alex Smith (right forearm, right shoulder); Questionable: DT Aubrayo Franklin (calf); Probable: RB Frank Gore (ankle), CB Walt Harris (calf), QB Shaun Hill (right finger), LB Derek Smith (groin), LB Jeff Ulbrich (ankle)).

Fantasy take: Gore put in a full practice on Friday and is still expected to start in Week 13. QB Trent Dilfer is slated to start for another week with Smith at less than 100 percent. The Niners have some injuries on defense, but this unit warrants little fantasy football consideration.

**Seattle Seahawks**
Out: WR D.J. Hackett (ankle), LB Will Herring (hamstring); Questionable: DT Rocky Bernard (groin), S Mike Green (knee), LB Lofa Tatupu (oblique); Probable: RB Shaun Alexander (knee), QB Matt Hasselbeck (hip), RB Maurice Morris (ankle), C Chris Spencer (shoulder), DE Darryl Tapp (shoulder), DT Craig Terrill (illness).

Fantasy take: WRs Nate Burleson and Bobby Engram will see more work with Hackett out. Hasselbeck put in a full practice on Friday and will start in Week 13. Alexander also practiced and appears set to return from an extended absence, but he'll be no more than a flex starter in most fantasy formats. He could share carries with Morris, who is listed as probable.

**St. Louis Rams**
Out: CB Eric Bassey (knee), QB Marc Bulger (concussion), WR Dante Hall (ankle), DE James Hall (ankle); Questionable: CB Fakhir Brown (back), C Brett Romberg (ankle); Probable: C Andy McCollum (knee), S Hanik Milligan (hand), T Rob Petitti (illness).

Fantasy take: QB Gus Frerotte will start with Bulger now listed as out. He's a viable fantasy option in larger formats. WR Torry Holt (knee) was removed from the injury report and will start against Atlanta. The Rams have some injuries on their offensive line, which could hinder Frerotte's production.

**Tampa Bay Buccaneers**
Questionable: RB B.J. Askew (ankle), DE Kevin Carter (groin), QB Jeff Garcia (back), CB Brian Kelly (ankle), RB Michael Pittman (ankle), DE Greg Spires (calf); Probable: LB Barrett Ruud (knee).

Fantasy take: Garcia saw limited work in Friday's practice, so QB Luke McCown could be under center in New Orleans. Pittman continues to deal with injuries and is a question mark. Ruud practiced on Friday and will be active, which is good news for fantasy owners in IDP leagues.

**Tennessee Titans**
Out: S Chris Hope (back); Questionable: DT Albert Haynesworth (hamstring), DE Travis LaBoy (concussion), G Benji Olson (back); Probable: DT Tony Brown (knee).

Fantasy take: The Titans could be without Haynesworth for a fourth consecutive week, which would be good news for Texans RB Ron Dayne.

**Washington Redskins**
Out: RB Mike Sellers (back), WR James Thrash (ankle); Questionable: WR Antwaan Randle El (hamstring), G Randy Thomas (triceps); Probable: DT Cornelius Griffin (foot), G Pete Kendall (ankle), WR Santana Moss (heel), RB Clinton Portis (back).

Fantasy take: Portis put in a full practice on Friday and will start in Week 13. Moss also returned to full work and should start against Buffalo. The potential return of Thomas would improve the effectiveness of the Redskins' offensive line.
