Former Broncos safety McCarthy signs with Chiefs

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Chiefs announced Tuesday that they have signed free-agent safety Kyle McCarthy.

Terms of the deal weren't disclosed.

McCarthy, who played college ball at Notre Dame, appeared in 12 games over two seasons with the Denver Broncos before he was waived Jan. 4.
