Albert Haynesworth won't suit up for the New England Patriots in Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.
Hanyesworth, along with cornerbacks Ras-I Dowling and Leigh Bodden, were ruled out by the Patriots on Saturday. All three had been listed as questionable.
The Boston Herald first reported Saturday that Haynesworth didn't travel with the Patriots to Oakland. Haynesworth, who's nursing a back injury, missed his second consecutive practice Friday.
Haynesworth has battled the injury for a couple of weeks, and he didn't play in last Sunday's 34-31 loss at Buffalo. The Patriots certainly could use Haynesworth's presence against the Raiders, the NFL's top rushing team at 185 yards per game, and they probably will have to play veteran defensive tackle Gerard Warren, who re-signed with the team this week.
The Patriots announced one roster move Saturday, signing offensive lineman Thomas Welch from the practice squad and releasing safety Ross Ventrone, who made his NFL debut last week.
