Injuries: Dont'a Hightower believed to have MCL sprain

The Patriots are 10-1, but it feels like every New England game comes at the price of an injury to a big-name player.

Even before Rob Gronkowskiinjured his knee Sunday, the Patriots lost linebacker Dont'a Hightower.

NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Monday that Hightower is believed to have suffered an MCL sprain.

The knee injury is generally not season ending, but would keep Hightower out a few weeks. The Pats' run defense has struggled when the linebacker hasn't been on the field.

Here's the rest of Monday's injury news we are tracking:

  1. In other news concerning the Patriots, Gronkowski could miss a week with a knee strain, according to NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport. Gronk underwent an MRI on Monday to determine the severity of the injury, but the belief is that he has no structural damage.

  1. Colts running back Ahmad Bradshawwas placed on injured reserve after he suffered a wrist injury in Indy's 25-12 win over the Buccaneers. He will undergo surgery today. Linebacker Jerrell Freeman is week-to-week with a grade-2 hamstring strain. Offensive tackle Anthony Castonzo is also week-to-week with a knee strain.
  1. The Seahawks have officially placed tight end Jimmy Graham on injured reserve. Coach Pete Carroll confirmed that Graham ruptured his patellar tendon during Sunday's win against the Steelers. Graham will undergo season-ending surgery.
  1. Bills defensive end Alex Carrington tore his quad tendon and is out for the season. He will have surgery today and he was placed on injured reserve.
