Injuries: McCarron, Peterman OK after scare Sunday

After seeing quarterbacks AJ McCarron and Nathan Peterman suffer minor injuries Sunday, the Buffalo Bills' depth at the position won't be tested.

Bills offensive coordinator Brian Daboll told reporters Monday morning that McCarron and Peterman are fine, and both signal-callers are available for practice, according to Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic.

According to multiple reports, trainers looked at McCarron's lower right leg during Sunday's practice, while Peterman appeared to hurt his right arm after falling during team drills.

Peterman started the preseason opener, and ESPN's Mike Rodak pointed out that Peterman and McCarron rotated first-team repetitions in recent days. First-round pick Josh Allen waits in the wings.

Meanwhile, wide receiver Zay Jones was cleared for contact after sporting a red no-contact jersey the past week, John Wawrow of The Associated Press reported . Jones started training camp on the NFI list following offseason knee surgery, but was activated on Aug. 5.

Here are other injuries we are keeping an eye on:

  1. Kansas City Chiefs safety Eric Berry (heel) was not present Monday on the practice field for a second consecutive day, ESPN's Adam Teicher reported. Teicher also reported the absence of right guard Laurent Duvernay-Tardif, who left Sunday's practice with a head injury.
  1. New York Jets wideout Terrelle Pryor revealed the severity of his offseason ankle injury on Monday. Pryor told reporters he actually broke the ankle in the spring. The receiver will not play at Washington on Thursday.
  1. NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport also reports Jets linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin will miss another week with a hamstring injury. Mauldin will end up missing New York's first two preseason games as he battles for a roster spot.
  1. The Los Angeles Chargers have activated guard Forrest Lamp from the physically unable to perform list and offensive tackle Brett Boyko from the non-football injury list.
  1. Oakland Raiders corner Gareon Conley participated in the first-team defense Monday during his first practice back from a hip injury, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal's Michael Gehlken.
  1. The Minnesota Vikings announced they have placed guard Nick Easton on injured reserve. NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reported last week that Easton will undergo surgery to repair a herniated disc in his neck.
  1. Cleveland Browns rookie cornerback Denzel Wardis dealing with a sore ankle, coach Hue Jackson told reporters. The No. 4 overall pick, who impressed in his preseason debut last week with his physical play, was replaced late in Monday's practice but the issue is not believed to be serious.
  1. Denver Broncos safety Su'a Cravens (knee) is not practicing Monday. Coach Vance Joseph told reporters he believes Cravens, who was limited throughout training camp and missed the Broncos' preseason opener, will return to the field this week.
  1. Cincinnati Bengals linebacker Vontaze Burfictdid not finish practice because of an apparent ankle injury, according to the team's official website.
  1. The Dallas Cowboys waived wide receiver Marchie Murdock (ankle) on an injury designation, placed guard Marcus Martin (toe) on injured reserve and removed Maliek Collins (foot) from the PUP list.
