Injuries: Patrick Peterson suffers low-ankle sprain

The injury Patrick Peterson suffered covering A.J. Green during Sunday night's win over the Cincinnati Bengals shouldn't be a long-term issue for the Arizona Cardinals cornerback.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Monday that Peterson is believed to have a low-ankle sprain that isn't major. He will undergo an MRI to confirm.

The Pro Bowl cornerback tweeted that he's feeling fine.

Peterson has returned to form this season and remains a big reason the Cardinals boast the most fearsome secondary in the NFL. Sunday he shut down Green for most of the contest until leaving late.

Take a look at the other injuries that we are tracking:

  1. The decimation of the Patriots' receiving corp continued Monday night against the Bills. Wide receiver Danny Amendola suffered a knee injury during the second half and didn't return. Teammate Aaron Dobson also left the game early after being carted off with an ankle injury following a second-quarter catch.
  1. Bills receiver Marcus Easley left in the opening minutes of Monday's game against the New England Patriots to be evaluated for a possible concussion, and did not return. Offensive guard John Miller left the game in the second quarter after suffering an ankle injury.

In addition, defensive end Mario Williams (foot) left in the second half and tight end Charles Clay injured his neck in the fourth quarter and did not return.

  1. The Broncos will start Brock Osweiler at quarterback when they take on the Patriots. Peyton Manning is still dealing with a painful case of plantar fasciitis, in addition to a rib injury.
  1. Bengals cornerback Darqueze Dennard injured his shoulder during Sunday's loss to the Cardinals. The team fears the injury could end Dennard's season, per NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.
  1. Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is believed to have a sports hernia and he met with noted specialist Dr. Williams Myers in Philadelphia to be examined, Rapoport reported. He could miss the remainder of the regular season if he needs surgery.
  1. Eagles quarterback Sam Bradford (concussion/shoulder) was limited at practice for Philadelphia on Monday. Tackle Jason Peters was also limited.

Zach Ertz (concussion) is listed as questionable for the team's Thanksgiving game against the Lions.

  1. Ravens coach John Harbaugh confirmed that quarterback Joe Flacco tore both his ACL and MCL in Sunday's win over the Rams and that his season is over.
