Injury roundup: Bills place Robert Woods (groin) on IR

Buffalo wideout Robert Woods will not play another down in 2015.

The Bills announced Tuesday that they have placed the third-year player on injured reserve after he suffered a groin injury in Buffalo's 35-25 loss to the Washington Redskins on Sunday. He will miss the team's final two games.

Woods finishes the year with a stat line of 47 receptions for 552 yards, including three touchdowns. He started nine of the team's 14 games and filled in admirably when Sammy Watkins missed some time with injuries.

In other Bills news, offensive tackle Seantrel Henderson was placed on the reserve/non-football illness list.

Here is the rest of Tuesday's injury news:

  1. Saints QB Drew Brees suffered torn plantar fascia Monday night against the Lions. His status for Week 16 is unknown.
  1. Packers wideout Ty Montgomery has ankle surgery scheduled for next week, according to his agent. The 2015 third-round draft pick hasn't played since Week 6 and was placed on injured reserve Monday.
  1. The Broncos placed safety and special-teams captain David Bruton on injured reserve. He broke his fibula in the first quarter of Sunday's loss to the Steelers, yet still managed to play a team-high 77 defensive snaps.
  1. Chargers tackle King Dunlap (ankle) and tight end Ladarius Green (ankle) did not participate in Tuesday's practice.
