Injury roundup: Sammy Watkins out with calf injury

Buffalo Bills receiver Sammy Watkins suffered a calf injury early in the first half against the Dolphins and did return to the game, the team announced. The wideout had one catch for 39 yards prior to the injury. The team announced he was questionable to return.

Here are other injuries we're tracking from Sunday's games:

  1. Seahawks star running back Marshawn Lynch suffered a hamstring injury against the Bears and did not return to the game. Teammate Brandon Mebane injured his groin during the shutout win.
  1. Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger left the game against the Rams with a knee injury and did not return. NFL Media's Albert Breer reported Sunday night Big Ben is expected to miss four to six weeks with an MCL sprain and bone bruise.
  1. Niners tight end Vernon Davis did not return against the Cardinals after suffering a knee injury.
  1. Jets guard Willie Colon left the game against the Eagles with a knee injury and didn't return. Cornerback Darrelle Revis also left the game with a hamstring injury and did not return. Coach Todd Bowles said he wasn't sure if the injury was serious.
  1. Panthers defensive end Charles Johnson left the Saints game with a hamstring injury and didn't return. Coach Ron Rivera said after the game there's a concern he could be out several weeks.
  1. Chargers cornerback Jason Verrett suffered a foot injury against the Vikings and did not return.
  1. Vikings cornerback Xavier Rhodes was evaluated for a head injury and did not return against the Chargers. Wide receiver Charles Johnson also made an early exit after suffering a rib injury. Defensive end Justin Trattou left the game with an ankle injury.
  1. Jaguars wide receiver Marqise Lee had a tight hamstring and didn't return. Safety Josh Evans (knee) and safety Sergio Brown (calf strain) did not return to the game, too.
  1. Falcons cornerback Ricardo Allen suffered a knee injury and made an early exit. Tight end Jacob Tamme suffered a possible head injury and was held out.
  1. Chargers left guard Orlando Franklin was carted off the field with an ankle injury. Offensive lineman Andrew Gardner (right foot) and safety Chris Maragos (left knee contusion) also left early against the Vikings.
  1. Texans guard Brandon Brooks suffered an ankle injury in the team's win over the Buccaneers.
  1. Browns safety Tashaun Gipson (groin) and linebacker Craig Robertson (ankle) left early in the team's loss to the Raiders.
  1. Jets tight end Jeff Cumberland suffered a head injury in a loss to the Eagles.
  1. Bears tackle Jermon Bushrod did not return after suffering a concussion against the Seahawks.
  1. Eagles linebacker Kiko Alonso, who suffered a partially torn ACL a few weeks ago, will get a final opinion from Dr. James Andrews on Monday, NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reports. His injury could keep him out a few weeks or it could require a re-do of the ACL injury and knock him out for the remainder of the season.
