Jason Babin makes debut for Baltimore Ravens

Veteran linebacker Jason Babin, who was signed by the Ravens days after the team lost defensive leader Terrell Suggs to a season-ending torn ACL, made his Baltimore debut during the team's 23-20 overtime victory against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Thursday.

Babin had been inactive for losses to the Oakland Raiders and Cincinnati Bengals -- losses where struggles on defense played prominent roles in pushing Baltimore to 0-3 for the first time in Ravens' history.

It remains to be seen how much playing time Babin will see against the Steelers. Last year with the New York Jets, Babin recorded 14 tackles and two sacks in 16 games.

Anything Babin can contribute to a defense that has surrendered an average of 28 points per game and 375 yards per game would be beneficial for a team looking to avoid a potential 0-4 start.
