Marqise Lee, Jacksonville Jaguars agree to contract

With wide receiver Marqise Leeagreeing to terms with the Jacksonville Jaguars, just three rookies from May's draft remain unsigned:

Brandt: Jaguars ready to rise?

After years of futility, the Jaguars are turning things around. Gil Brandt says there's a chance they could make noise in 2014. **READ**

» Eighth overall pick Justin Gilbert has yet to sign his deal with the Cleveland Browns. Once he does, new coach Mike Pettine plans to plug in the former Oklahoma State cornerback as an immediate starter across from Joe Haden.

» Tennessee offensive tackle Taylor Lewan, the draft's No. 11 pick, has yet to sign with the Titans. The former Michigan bookend will be given a chance to crack the first-team lineup ahead of Michael Oher and across from Michael Roos.

» The Dolphins have yet to seal the deal with third-round offensive tackle Billy Turner. Miami needs all the help it can muster in trying to overhaul a line that embarrassed the organization both on the field and off last season.

Lee's pact is a four-year contract worth $5.2 million, a source with knowledge of the deal told NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport.

It's a mystery what took the Jaguars so long to get their second-rounder signed, but contract talks for both Gilbert and Lewan are likely stuck in negotiations over offset bonuses. We still expect everyone on this list to be in uniform by the start of training camp.

After all, for fans of today's NFL, perhaps the brightest aspect of the latest collective bargaining agreement is a rookie wage scale that makes signing draft picks easier than piecing together a low-octane ham on rye.

The latest "Around The League Podcast" bangs the table for Cordarrelle Patterson and predicts which stars will soon descend.
