NFL fines five involved in Rams-Giants scuffle

Sunday's fisticuffs between the Rams and Giants will cost starters from both teams a pretty penny.

NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday that five players have been fined for the fight that led to a sideline brawl and four ejections at the Edward Jones Dome.

Giants pass rusher Damontre Moore and wideout Preston Parker were both docked $15,000, while star pass-catcher Odell Beckham was hit with a $10,000 fee. For the Rams, defensive lineman William Hayes was penalized $10,000, with linebacker Alec Ogletree forking over another $8,268.

Parker threw a punch during the confrontation, leading to his ejection. Moore and Hayes were disqualified, too, but Giants defensive tackle Johnathan Hankins -- also tossed from the affair -- escaped fine-free.

Other fine news from Rapoport:

  1. Raiders defensive end Justin Tuck was fined $22,050 for unsportsmanlike conduct after directing abusive language toward a referee in Sunday's win over the Bills.
  1. Lions pass rusher Ziggy Ansah was fined $22,050 for his hit to the head of a sliding Jimmy Clausen in Sunday's win over the Bears.
