NFL REPORTING FROM THE ATHLETIC — SUPPLEMENTAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Supplemental Terms and Conditions for NFL Reporting from The Athletic (these "TA Add-On Terms") govern your use of the NFL Reporting from The Athletic add-on subscription (the "TA Add-On"), an Add-On Product (as defined in the NFL Subscription, Authentication and Mobile Products Terms and Conditions (the "NFL Subscription Terms") which can be found at https://www.nfl.com/legal/subscriptionsterms-row). These TA Add-On Terms supplement and are governed by the NFL Subscription Terms. All provisions of the NFL Subscription Terms apply to the TA Add-On except as expressly modified herein. In the event of a conflict between these TA Add-On Terms and the NFL Subscription Terms, these TA Add-On Terms shall control only with respect to the TA Add-On. All defined terms not otherwise defined herein have the meaning ascribed to them in the NFL Subscription Terms or the NFL.com Terms and Conditions, as applicable.
1. Product Description
The TA Add-On provides access to certain NFL-related editorial articles sourced from The Athletic ("TA Content") that are ingested and made available on certain NFL digital properties (collectively, the "NFL Platforms," which, for purposes of these TA Add-On Terms only, include NFL.com on desktop and mobile web and the NFL App, but exclude connected television devices and applications ("CTV")). The TA Add-On is an Add-On Product and is not a standalone subscription product. A valid, active subscription to NFL+ or NFL+ Premium (the "Underlying Subscription"), obtained either concurrently with or prior to the TA Add-On, is required as a prerequisite for purchasing and maintaining the TA Add-On. A subscriber who holds both an active Underlying Subscription and a TA Add-On subscription is referred to herein as an "Eligible Subscriber."
2. Eligibility and Sign-Up
(a) Web-Only Sign-Up. The TA Add-On is available for purchase exclusively via the web (desktop and mobile web at NFL.com). Sign-up for the TA Add-On is not available through the NFL App or any CTV application.
(b) Underlying Subscription Requirement. To be eligible to purchase the TA Add-On, your Underlying Subscription must have been established via the web (desktop or mobile web at NFL.com). If your Underlying Subscription was purchased through the NFL App, or a CTV application, you may view headlines, excerpts, thumbnails, or other previews of TA Content that are made available to all users on NFL.com desktop or mobile web, but full TA Content is not available with your current NFL+ subscription and you are not eligible to purchase the TA Add-On or access full TA Content unless and until you have an eligible web-based Underlying Subscription.
3. Access and Platform Availability
(a) Platforms. Eligible Subscribers who purchase the TA Add-On via the web may access full TA Content on the following NFL Platforms: (i) NFL.com on desktop and mobile web, and (ii) the NFL App. Full TA Content is not available on CTV, and the TA Add-On may not be purchased through the NFL App or any CTV application.
(b) TA Content Previews on NFL.com. Headlines, excerpts, thumbnails, and other previews of TA Content may be displayed on NFL.com desktop and mobile web only and may be visible to all users, including users who do not subscribe to the TA Add-On or whose Underlying Subscription was purchased through the NFL App, an app store, or a CTV application. Users who select such content may be permitted to read a limited preview before being prompted to subscribe to the TA Add-On, if eligible. If the TA Add-On is not available with a user's current NFL+ subscription, the user may be shown a message stating, "This content is not available with your current NFL+ subscription."
(c) Content Restrictions. TA Content is subject to the content use restrictions set forth in the NFL Subscription Terms, including without limitation the prohibitions on archiving, republishing, retransmitting, reproducing, and downloading content. You shall not access or use TA Content in any manner not expressly authorized by us.
4. Subscription Term, Billing Alignment, and Proration
(a) Term Alignment. The subscription term of the TA Add-On must correspond to the billing frequency of your Underlying Subscription. If your Underlying Subscription is billed on a monthly basis, you may only elect a monthly TA Add-On subscription. If your Underlying Subscription is billed on an annual basis, you may only elect an annual TA Add-On subscription.
(b) Automatic Conversion. If you change your Underlying Subscription from a monthly plan to an annual plan, your TA Add-On subscription will automatically convert to an annual plan effective as of the date of your Underlying Subscription plan change. Any applicable Fees for the converted TA Add-On plan will be charged in accordance with the then-current annual pricing for the TA Add-On.
(c) Renewal Date Synchronization. The auto-renewal date for the TA Add-On will be synchronized with the auto-renewal date of your Underlying Subscription. If you purchase the TA Add-On on a date that does not coincide with the next renewal date of your Underlying Subscription, the initial billing period for the TA Add-On will be prorated on a per-day basis to cover only the number of days remaining until the next renewal date of your Underlying Subscription, and the Fee charged for such initial billing period will be prorated accordingly. Thereafter, the TA Add-On will renew on the same schedule as your Underlying Subscription.
(d) Fees and Payment. You can find the current Fees for the TA Add-On posted on the informational page(s) for the TA Add-On. By subscribing to the TA Add-On, you authorize us to charge the applicable Fees (plus any applicable taxes) to the payment method on file for your Underlying Subscription in accordance with the billing and payment terms set forth in the NFL Subscription Terms.
5. Automatic Renewal
Your TA Add-On subscription automatically renews until cancelled. Unless you cancel the TA Add-On or your Underlying Subscription as described in Section 6 below, the TA Add-On will automatically renew on each renewal date of your Underlying Subscription, and you will be charged the then-current applicable Fees (plus any applicable taxes) for the TA Add-On.
6. Cancellation and Termination
(a) Cancellation of TA Add-On. You may cancel the TA Add-On at any time while retaining your Underlying Subscription. To cancel, visit the My Account page at www.nfl.com/account, log in to your NFL.com account, navigate to the "Manage Subscriptions" page, and follow the applicable cancellation instructions for the TA Add-On. If you cancel the TA Add-On, the cancellation will go into effect at the end of your current TA Add-On billing period, and you will retain access to TA Content for the remainder of that billing period. Once you cancel, you may not withdraw the cancellation or resume your TA Add-On subscription during the remainder of that billing period. After the billing period ends, you may resubscribe to a new TA Add-On subscription.
(b) Automatic Termination upon Cancellation of Underlying Subscription. Cancellation or termination of your Underlying Subscription for any reason — whether voluntary, involuntary, or resulting from a failed payment — will automatically and immediately terminate your TA Add-On subscription effective upon the date your Underlying Subscription ends. You may not maintain a TA Add-On subscription independently of an active Underlying Subscription. No prorated refund will be issued for any unused portion of a TA Add-On billing period that is terminated as a result of the cancellation or termination of your Underlying Subscription. If you elect to cancel your Underlying Subscription, you may not withdraw such cancellation, resume your Underlying Subscription, or resume your TA Add-On subscription during the remainder of the applicable billing period. To regain access to the TA Add-On following expiration of the applicable billing period, you must purchase a new eligible Underlying Subscription and subscribe to a new TA Add-On subscription.
(c) No Independent Subscription. The TA Add-On cannot exist as a standalone subscription. If your Underlying Subscription lapses, is suspended, or is otherwise terminated, your access to TA Content will cease concurrently.
7. Third-Party Platform Credentials and Access
(a) No Access to The Athletic or New York Times Platforms. A TA Add-On subscription obtained through the NFL does not grant you access to The Athletic (www.theathletic.com), The New York Times (www.nytimes.com), or any other digital properties, products, or services operated by The Athletic Media Company, The New York Times Company, or their respective affiliates (collectively, "Third-Party Platforms"). Your NFL credentials (including your NFL.com username and password) cannot be used to authenticate into, log in to, or access any content on any Third-Party Platform.
(b) No Cross-Authentication. Existing subscribers to The Athletic or The New York Times may not use their credentials for The Athletic or The New York Times to authenticate into or access any NFL Platform, the NFL App, or TA Content. Each subscription is independently maintained and governed by the respective platform operator's terms of service.
(c) Separate Subscriptions. For the avoidance of doubt, the TA Add-On and any subscription to The Athletic or The New York Times are separate and independent products. Purchase of one does not entitle the subscriber to any benefit, discount, or access under the other, unless expressly stated in a separate promotional offer.
8. General
(a) Modifications. We reserve the right to modify these TA Add-On Terms, the TA Content, the platforms on which TA Content is available, and the Fees for the TA Add-On at any time and in our sole discretion. Notice of material changes will be provided in accordance with the NFL Subscription Terms.
(b) Availability. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the TA Add-On at any time without prior notice, and the TA Add-On, or any products or services included therein, may become unavailable without notice. We shall have no liability of any kind if the TA Add-On is modified, suspended, discontinued, or becomes unavailable.
(c) Governing Terms. Except as expressly modified by these TA Add-On Terms, all provisions of the NFL Subscription Terms — including without limitation the provisions relating to dispute resolution, payment failures, refunds, termination, contact information, and prohibited conduct — continue to apply in full to the TA Add-On.
