Who were the NFL's top stars in Week 5? Each Wednesday, the league unveils its weekly honor roll. See who the Players of the Week are below.
AFC Offensive Player of the Week
Stroud snapped back into exemplary form on Sunday, leading his Texans past the Baltimore Ravens, 44-10. The third-year QB completed 23 of 27 passes -- flexing a sensational 85.2 completion percentage -- with season highs of 244 yards, four touchdowns and a 143.9 passer rating. Stroud, who added 30 rushing yards, earned his first Offensive Player of the Week accolade since his first season, when he was voted AP NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year.
NFC Offensive Player of the Week
Dowdle took the lead reins in the Panthers' backfield with Chuba Hubbard injured and led a Panthers rally in their 27-24 win Sunday over the Miami Dolphins. Dowdle ran wild for 206 yards and a touchdown on 23 carries. Dowdle's rushing tally was a single-game career high and league high this season. His 1-yard touchdown run was the go-ahead score as the Panthers rallied back from a 17-0 deficit.
AFC Defensive Player of the Week
Bonitto continues to terrorize opposing offenses and did so in the Broncos' biggest win of the season so far. The Denver edge posted four tackles, 2.5 sacks and two tackles for loss in Broncos' 21-17 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Bonitto now checks in with a league-leading seven sacks.
NFC Defensive Player of the Week
The Saints earned their first win of the season and McKinstry, in his second NFL season, earned his first NFC Defensive Player of the Week honor. McKinstry was all over the field and the stat sheet in New Orleans' 26-14 win against the New York Giants. McKinstry had four tackles, three passes defensed and two interceptions -- each of them coming in the fourth quarter to seal the victory.
AFC Special Teams Player of the Week
In a comeback for the ages, Dike provided huge special teams plays aplenty in the Titans' 22-21 win over the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. Dike had 169 total return yards with three punt returns for 33 yards (11.0 yards per return) and four kick returns for 136 yards (34.0 YPR). Dike's biggest play was a 65-yard kick return that led to a field goal and the start of 18 straight points for Tennessee to end the game.
NFC Special Teams Player of the Week
Pineiro earned his fourth career Special Teams Player of the Week honor for a third team. Having earned the accolade while with the Chicago Bears (once) and the Carolina Panthers (twice), he was lauded this time after lifting the 49ers over the Los Angeles Rams with a game-winning 41-yard field goal that doinked in for a 26-23 overtime win on Thursday. Signed earlier this season by San Francisco -- the fourth team he's played for -- Pineiro has been perfect so far on field goals and on Thursday Night Football was 4 for 4, including a career-long 59-yarder. He also added a pair of extra points for a 14-point, award-winning evening.
