Quick Take: Packers (6-1) at Chiefs (4-3)

Last meeting
Chiefs quarterback Trent Green threw a 51-yard touchdown pass to Eddie Kennison in overtime to defeat the host Packers, 40-34, on Oct. 12, 2003.

Streaks
The Chiefs have won five consecutive games against the Packers and lead the all-time series, 6-1-1.

Last week
The Packers had a thrilling 19-13 victory at Denver on Monday Night Football. Brett Favre connected with Greg Jennings on an 82-yard touchdown pass on the first play from scrimmage in overtime. The Chiefs were on a bye last week following a 12-10 victory at Oakland in Week 7.

At stake
This is a crucial game for both teams at the top of their respective divisions. The Packers are tied with the Dallas Cowboys for the best record in the NFC and hold a one-game advantage over the Lions in the NFC North. The Chiefs started their bye in sole possession of first place, but are now tied with the Chargers in the AFC West.

Key matchup:
Packers left tackle Chad Clifton vs. Chiefs right end Jared Allen. The veteran Clifton is going to have his hands full this week against Allen, who is easily the Chiefs' most valuable player this season. Allen leads the AFC with eight sacks, despite being suspended for the first two games of the season. Allen has also played well against the run, which has been one of the weak spots for the Packers this season. Green Bay will need to establish a rushing attack, or Allen could have a big day if the Packers get too predictable. The Packers will be without running back DeShawn Wynn, who was placed on injured reserve with what coach Mike McCarthy called a "significant shoulder injury." Look for the Packers to turn to second-year man Ryan Grant again.
