Keep your eye on ...Randy Moss' response: The Pro Bowl receiver has come under scrutiny recently. He was sent home after being late to a practice last week, and then had one of the worst performances of his career (one catch, 16 yards) vs. the Panthers. After the game, Panthers CB Chris Gamble questioned Moss' effort. Patriots coach Bill Belichick defended Moss on Monday, and Moss will no doubt be eager to prove his worth against the Bills.

Adalius Thomas' role: Thomas was also sent home last week after arriving late, and he criticized the move in the media. He was then made a healthy scratch for Sunday's game, the second time he has been inactive this season. His status against the Bills is not clear, but the Patriots could use his playmaking at linebacker.

Jairus Byrd's remarkable rookie campaign: The Buffalo safety leads the league with nine interceptions, and is having one of the best seasons for a rookie safety ever. He will look to hit double digits in picks this weekend, and Tom Brady may give him an opportunity to do so as he has thrown an interception in six of his last seven games.
