RB Fargas inactive for Raiders as Seymour makes debut

OAKLAND, Calif. -- Running back Justin Fargas was inactive for Oakland's season opener against San Diego because of a hamstring injury.

Fargas, the team's leading rusher the past three seasons, was injured in a preseason game on Aug. 22.

Also inactive for the Raiders on Monday night were receivers Chaz Schilens, Javon Walker and Nick Miller, offensive linemen Paul McQuistan and Khalif Barnes and tight end Brandon Myers.

The Raiders released defensive lineman William Joseph to make room on the roster for Richard Seymour.

The inactive players for the Chargers were defensive backs Kevin Ellison and C.J. Spillman, running back Michael Bennett, offensive lineman Tyronne Green, defensive lineman Jacques Cesaire, receiver Buster Davis and linebacker Jyles Tucker.
