Injuries may have stymied Malik Hooker's career, but teams continue to show interest in the young safety's potential.
The former Colts defensive back visited with the Steelers on Thursday, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Friday, per a source.
Hooker, 25, has also visited with the Dolphins and Cowboys this offseason.
The Ohio State product's time in the NFL has been tumultuous, to say the least. Since being drafted 15th overall in 2017, Hooker has had two promising seasons bookended by devastating injuries.
Hooker's 2020 campaign ended after he tore his Achilles in a Week 2 win over the Vikings. During his rookie year, he appeared in seven games before suffering a torn ACL and MCL in Week 7.
When healthy, Hooker has been solid, tallying 95 tackles, seven passes defensed and four interceptions combined during the 2018 and 2019 seasons. He also started 27 games in that span.

- New York Jets offensive lineman Mekhi Becton is dealing with plantar fasciitis, per Rapoport. Coach Robert Saleh told reporters Becton is dealing with a foot injury and the team requested he stay off his feet. Becton is expected to need just a few weeks of recovery and no surgery, Rapoport added. Receiver Denzel Mims has been dealing with a non-COVID illness but is expected to practice, Saleh said. The Jets later announced the signing of fourth-round running back Michael Carter.
- The Minnesota Vikings agreed to terms with cornerback Bashaud Breeland. The former Chiefs CB started 26 of his 27 appearances during his two years in Kansas City, and accumulated 86 tackles. 17 pass deflections and four interceptions.
- The Seattle Seahawks signed punter Michael Dickson to a four-year, $14.5 million extension that includes $10.6 million in the first two years, NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported. The 2018 All-Pro's new deal could make him the highest-paid punter in the league and worth $4 million per season with incentives and escalators based on performance, Garafolo added.
- The Cleveland Browns announced the signing of second-round pick LB Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah. The Notre Dame alum is the sixth of the club's eight 2021 draft picks to sign.
- The New England Patriots signed receiver Marvin Hall. The WR played for the Lions and Browns last season, catching 18 passes in 12 games played for 302 yards and two TDs.
- Free-agent defensive tackle Geno Atkins has a checkup with Cowboys team doctor Dan Cooper in a few weeks and is expected to be cleared from a torn rotator cuff by July 1, Rapoport reported, per a source. Multiple teams remain interested in the former Bengals All-Pro and Pro Bowl D-lineman.
- The Detroit Lions signed running back Michael Warren and waived RB Rakeem Boyd with an injury settlement.
- The Tennessee Titans waived-injured offensive tackle Anthony McKinney and placed veteran cornerback Kevin Johnson on the reserve/retired list. Johnson, 28, played four seasons with the Texans and spent one year a piece with the Bills and Browns. The 2015 first-rounder totaled 199 tackles, 22 pass es defensed and one interception in his career. The team also signed deocrated wrestler Adam Coon, who will compete for a spot along the offensive line.
- The Las Vegas Raiders signed free-agent guard Parker Ehinger and waived safety Rashaan Gaulden.
- The Baltimore Ravens waived quarterback Kenji Bahar.
- The Philadelphia Eagles signed 2021 draft picks defensive tackle Marlon Tuipulotu (No. 189), defensive end Tarron Jackson (No. 191) and linebacker Patrick Johnson (No. 234).
