Jackson, released by the Buffalo Bills earlier this week, served as the Seahawks' starting quarterback in 2011, a season in which he played while injured and earned respect from teammates. He was a team captain that season, but he quickly lost his grip on a roster spot after the Seahawks brought in Matt Flynn and Russell Wilson.
Jackson must beat out Brady Quinn to earn that No. 2 role. Given his prior relationship with offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, Jackson should be considered the favorite.
