Vikings' Herrera to start Saturday for 1st time since November

EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- Minnesota Vikings right guard Anthony Herrera will start in the preseason game against Dallas on Saturday night, the first time he will play in a game since tearing the ACL in his left knee in November.

Herrera had surgery to repair his knee and a torn triceps muscle in the offseason. He missed the first two preseason games while working his way back into playing shape. Coach Leslie Frazier says they want Herrera to play the first quarter and then see how he's doing.

Tight end Visanthe Shiancoe missed practice on Wednesday after aggravating the hamstring injury that has kept him out of the first two preseason games. He is unlikely to play on Saturday against the Cowboys.
