Vollmer's injury puts first-round pick Solder in spotlight

Patriots tackle Sebastian Vollmer is among a group of playerd who have been ruled out of Monday night's game at Miami, according to the Patriots' official website. Vollmer has been suffering from a back injury that has kept him out of practice for the last two weeks.

Defensive lineman Jermaine Cunningham (groin), receiver Taylor Price (hamstring), offensive lineman Ryan Wendell (calf) and linebacker Jeff Tarpinian (knee) will not play against the Dolphins.

With Vollmer out of action, first-round pick Nate Solder could make the start at right tackle in his NFL debut against Miami's top pass rusher, Cameron Wake.
