It's not easy being Wayne Hunter.
After the right tackle played the two worst quarters of his football life on Saturday against the New York Giants, Hunter's abilities -- or lack thereof -- became the dominant talking point surrounding the New York Jets. Ryan announced Thursday that Hunter had lost his starting gig at right tackle, giving way to Austin Howard, who told reporters Thursday he will continue to lean on the veteran.
For Hunter, it all seemed inevitable.
"I wasn't surprised," Hunter told reporters Thursday, via the New York Daily News. "Everyone knows. The whole NYC knows I was struggling. I was waiting for it, to be honest."
"They got to make moves now," he said. "The Bills are around the corner."
