Fantasy take: The absence of Sheppard hurts the value of the Philadelphia defense. L.J. Smith is active despite being less than 100 percent. He's a risk for fantasy owners.
New England Patriots
Inactives: DB Rashad Baker, T Wesley Britt, DT Kareem Brown, QB Matt Gutierrez (3rd QB), LB Corey Mays, G Steve Neal, TE David Thomas, DT Mike Wright.
RB Tatum Bell will see almost all the carries, but he's no better than a flex starter.
Kansas City Chiefs
Inactives: LB Johnny Baldwin, CB Rashad Barksdale, RB Boomer Grigsby, WR Eddie Kennison, LB William Kershaw, DB Jon McGraw, T Herbert Taylor, QB Tyler Thigpen (3rd QB).
New York Jets

Fantasy take: QB Chad Pennington is active, but head coach Eric Mangini hasn't announced yet who will start between Pennington and Kellen Clemens.

Fantasy take: Jarrett is inactive for the second consecutive week. Drew Carter and Keary Colbert will see most of the work opposite Steve Smith.
