The following is a list of inactives for Week 5 (October 7-8) and the fantasy implications of all the major inactives:
Oct. 8, 8:30pm EST
Fantasy take: Trent Edwards will start with Losman out of action. Roscoe Parrish and Josh Reed will see more work in the absence of Price.
Fantasy take: Patrick Crayton will start with Glenn still out. The absence of Henry is a real positive for the Buffalo wide receivers.
Fantasy take: Travis Henry is active and will start, but look for Selvin Young to see some carries as well. Brandon Stokley will start in the absence of Walker.
Inactives: RB Joseph Addai, WR Marvin Harrison, LB Freddy Keiaho, DT Dan Klecko, WR Aaron Moorehead, DB T.J. Rushing, DB Bob Sanders, TE Ben Utecht.
Fantasy take: Kenton Keith will start in the absence of Addai. With Harrison, Moorehead and Utecht all out, look for Reggie Wayne, Dallas Clark and Anthony Gonzalez to be the main pass catchers for Peyton Manning. With Keiaho, Klecko and Sanders all out, the Indianapolis defense loses some value this week.
Fantasy take: The loss of Brown will hurt Arizona's offensive attack. Bryant Johnson will start in the absence of Boldin, who is out for a second consecutive week.
Kansas City Chiefs
Inactives: QB Tyler Thigpen (3rd QB), CB Benny Sapp, CB Dimitri Patterson, G Herbert Taylor, T Kyle Turley, WR Bobby Sippio, DT James Reed, LB Keyaron Fox.
New England Patriots
Inactives: QB Matt Gutierrez (3rd QB), S Rashad Baker, RB Laurence Maroney, T Wesley Britt, C Dan Koppen, DL Santonio Thomas, DL Kareem Brown, LB Chad Brown.
Fantasy take: Sammy Morris will start in the absence of Maroney. He's a solid option against Cleveland. Donte' Stallworth is active.
Fantasy take: Antwaan Randle El is a solid fantasy option with Moss out of action. Clinton Portis is active and will start against Detroit.
