Wisconsin mocks Russell Wilson's N.C. State exit with billboard

Poor North Carolina State. The Wolfpack are overshadowed -- the team hasn't won a conference championship since 1979 and slogged through a 3-9 season while in-state foes Duke and North Carolina each went bowling. Now Wisconsin fans are piling on by placing a billboard in Raleigh, N.C. both mocking and celebrating the departure of Russell Wilson after three seasons as the starting quarterback at N.C. State.

Wilson left for his senior season after then-head coach Tom O'Brien decided to go with Mike Glennon. Wilson joined the Badgers and led them to a Big Ten title and Rose Bowl appearance.

Those circumstances have been rehashed all week, as Wilson prepares to lead the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl XLVIII.

But N.C. State fans likely have one trump card on the Wisconsin fans responsible for the billboard -- they know how to spell "Russell" correctly.
