Aaron Rodgers' big game good for Player of the Week

In a blowout win over the Bears on Sunday night, Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers was just one more good throw away from tying the NFL record for most touchdown passes in a single game (7).

Amid a torrid stretch of the season during which we're seeing quarterbacks like Ben Roethlisberger and Peyton Manning light it up on a weekly basis, Rodgers managed to stand out. His bombs to Jordy Nelson, especially on the run and in tight windows, were some of the best throws we've seen all season.

He finished the night 18 of 27 for 315 yards and six scores, making his NFC Offensive Player of the Week award a no-brainer.

Over in the AFC, Baltimore's Justin Forsett continued his strong season with 112 rushing yards and a pair of touchdowns in a 21-7 win over the Titans. Forsett averaged nearly six yards per carry on Sunday, which gave him the nod over Manning (340 yards, five touchdowns) and Michael Vick (132 passing yards, 39 rushing yards, two touchdowns).

Here's how the rest of the weekly awards shook out:

Arizona corner Patrick Peterson: He lifted the Cardinals to a win over the Rams after notching a pair of interceptions in the fourth quarter, one of which was returned 30 yards for a touchdown.

Eagles running back and punt returner Darren Sproles:Sproles took a punt back 65 yards for the score in a blowout win over the Carolina Panthers. He added a rushing touchdown as well.

Jets safety Jaiquawn Jarrett: He continues to out-play first-round pick Calvin Pryor and stood out on Sunday with 10 tackles, two picks, one sack and one fumble recovery.

Chiefs fullback Anthony Sherman: Sherman forced a key fumble on a punt return and tallied three more special teams tackles in a win over the Bills.
