Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb admitted to letting his frustrations get the best of him during Sunday's loss to Baltimore.
On Tuesday, Lamb, who didn't speak following the 28-25 defeat, took ownership of an outburst during the contest.
"I know that's not the player I am," Lamb said, via the team's official website. "I know that's not the teammate I am. … It was a bad game on my end. I fully take accountability in that.
"I will be better in the future. And it's gonna be fine."
FOX cameras caught Lamb having an emotional outburst, venting at receivers coach Robert Prince, guard Zack Martin and quarterback Dak Prescott.
Part of Lamb's frustration stemmed from his production, or lack thereof: four catches, 67 yards and a red zone fumble that cost Dallas points.
"I expect a lot out of myself -- more than anyone could put on me," he said. "And quite honestly, I failed myself, and obviously I failed the team, just as far as producing and being that game-breaker … I kind of let the game get to my head a little bit. Honestly I got to be truthful to myself and I played a part in that loss, a big part, honestly, and [neither] my body language nor attitude [helped change] the outcome of the game."
Lamb can get back on track Thursday night in New York against a team he's scorched. In eight career games against the Giants, the Cowboys wideout has averaged 6.5 catches and 90.3 receiving yards with three touchdowns. In the last meeting with Big Blue, Lamb generated 11 catches for 151 yards, a receiving TD and a rushing score. His only game with fewer than 50 receiving yards against the Giants came in Week 17, 2020, when Andy Dalton started in place of an injured Prescott.
