Colston makes early return for Saints' game vs. Jaguars

The New Orleans Saints will have wide receiver Marques Colston and linebacker Jonathan Vilma on the field when they meet the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday.

Both players weren't included on the inactives list released 90 minutes before kickoff.

Colston missed the Saints' previous two games with a broken collarbone sustained during the season opener against the Green Bay Packers. He originally was expected to miss four to six weeks with the injury.

"I wouldn't anticipate him getting 50 snaps, but he is cleared," Payton told the New Orleans Times-Picayune on Friday. "He is in the plan."

Vilma, dealing with a knee issue, was limited in practice Friday and had been listed as questionable.

For the Jaguars, left tackle Eugene Monroe (shoulder) is active but out of the starting lineup. Guy Whimper moves to left tackle, left guard Eben Britton starts at right tackle and rookie Will Rackley is back in the lineup.

The Jaguars also are without starting cornerback Derek Cox (groin), wide receiver Kassim Osgood (hamstring) and backup safety Courtney Greene (neck).

The Saints are missing three starters: center Olin Kreutz (knee), right tackle Zach Strief (knee) and linebacker Will Herring (hamstring). All three were ruled out Friday.
