Fantasy injury report: Week 11

The following is a list of injured players for Week 11 (November 18-19) and the fantasy implications of all the major injuries:

Arizona Cardinals
Questionable: S Aaron Francisco (knee), CB Eric Green (ankle), S Adrian Wilson (heel); Probable: LB Gerald Hayes (illness), QB Kurt Warner (left elbow).

Fantasy take: Wilson is not expected to be active this week, so fantasy owners in IDP leagues need to seek a healthier alternative. Warner will start and is a solid fantasy option in Cincinnati.

Atlanta Falcons
Doubtful: WR Joe Horn (hamstring): Probable: QB Byron Leftwich (ankle), DT Trey Lewis (shoulder), RB Jerious Norwood (ankle), T Todd Weiner (knee) .

Fantasy take: Warrick Dunn (team decision) was taken off the injury report. He might have to handle the full backfield load again if Norwood is limited. Falcons head coach Bobby Petrino didn't commit to either Leftwich or Joey Harrington as his quarterback, though Leftwich seems to the favorite. It will be a gametime decision. Laurent Robinson could see another start if Horn is out. Alge Crumpler (team decision) was taken off the injury report and will be active against Tampa Bay.

Baltimore Ravens
Out: QB Steve McNair (left shoulder), CB Samari Rolle (illness), S Gerome Sapp (thigh), TE Daniel Wilcox (foot), WR Demetrius Williams (ankle); Questionable: TE Todd Heap (thigh), CB Chris McAlister (knee); Probable: WR Yamon Figurs (knee), RB Le'Ron McClain (shoulder), S Ed Reed (back), LB Gary Stills (knee).

Fantasy take: Kyle Boller will start in Week 11 with McNair out of action. Heap missed Friday's practice, so fantasy owners might need to seek a healthier alternative. If Heap can't go, Quinn Sypniewski would start in his absence. If McAlister is out, Derek Anderson and Braylon Edwards become much more attractive fantasy options.

Buffalo Bills
Out: TE Matt Murphy (calf), CB Kiwaukee Thomas (groin); Doubtful: RB Marshawn Lynch (ankle); Probable: TE Robert Royal (head), DE Aaron Schobel (illness).

Fantasy take: Lynch missed Friday's practice and is expected to miss Week 11, so fantasy owners should look to add Anthony Thomas as insurance.

Carolina Panthers
Questionable: DT Damione Lewis (shoulder), WR Steve Smith (shin); Probable: S Deke Cooper (shoulder), RB DeShaun Foster (toe), CB Ken Lucas (hip).

Fantasy take: Neither David Carr (back) nor Vinny Testaverde (Achilles) is on the injury report, but the latter will start in Week 11. Smith missed Friday's practice and will be a gametime decision, so Keary Colbert, Dwayne Jarrett and Drew Carter might have to handle the wide receiver duties. Foster is probable and will start against a hard-nosed Green Bay defense.

Chicago Bears
Questionable: DT Tommie Harris (knee), CB Nathan Vasher (groin); Probable: QB Brian Griese (left shoulder), S Brandon McGowan (elbow).

Fantasy take:Rex Grossman will start in Week 11 with Griese recovering from a bruised shoulder. The Bears have some injuries on defense, but this unit is still a viable option for fantasy owners.

Cincinnati Bengals
Out: T Willie Anderson (knee); Probable: LB Rashad Jeanty (knee), WR Chad Johnson (illness), S Herana-Daze Jones (knee), CB Johnathan Joseph (ankle), TE Reggie Kelly (knee), CB Deltha O'Neal (back), LB Anthony Schlegel (back), DT John Thornton (neck), S Madieu Williams (foot).

Fantasy take: Johnson missed Friday's practice, but he is still expected to start against Arizona. The Bengals have some injuries on defense, but this unit warrants no fantasy consideration in most formats.

Cleveland Browns
Questionable: LB D'Qwell Jackson (ankle), DE Shaun Smith (knee); Probable: CB Leigh Bodden (back), LB Willie McGinest (hamstring), LB Antwan Peek (knee), RB Lawrence Vickers (tooth).

Fantasy take: The Browns have some injuries on defense, but this unit doesn't warrant much fantasy consideration in most formats.

Dallas Cowboys
Out: WR Terry Glenn (knee); Questionable: G Leonard Davis (ankle); Probable: CB Anthony Henry (ankle), WR Isaiah Stanback (shoulder).

Fantasy take: Patrick Crayton will continue to start in the absence of Glenn. Davis hurt his ankle in Wednesday's practice and could be out or limited in Week 11.

Denver Broncos
Out: WR Javon Walker (knee); Questionable: RB Travis Henry (knee), QB Paul Smith (calf); Probable: K Jason Elam (right calf), DE John Engelberger (shoulder), S John Lynch (neck), TE Tony Scheffler (chest).

Fantasy take: Henry will be a gametime decision, so it looks like Selvin Young has a chance to start on Monday Night Football. Walker will miss another week, so Brandon Stokley should start against Tennessee. Elam and Scheffler practiced on Friday and will start in Week 11.

Detroit Lions
Out: T Jonathan Scott (hand); Doubtful: DE Dewayne White (elbow); Questionable: DE Ikaika Alama-Francis (hamstring); Probable: RB Jon Bradley (ankle), CB Fernando Bryant (foot), WR Calvin Johnson (back), QB Jon Kitna (back).

Fantasy take: Kitna put in a full practice on Friday and will start against the New York Giants. Kevin Jones (foot) is not listed on the injury report.

Green Bay Packers
Out: CB Will Blackmon (foot), S Nick Collins (knee), TE Bubba Franks (knee); Doubtful: LB Tracy White (ankle); Probable: T Chad Clifton (knee), G Daryn Colledge (back), DE Cullen Jenkins (knee), WR Koren Robinson (knee), T Mark Tauscher (ankle), CB Charles Woodson (hip).

Fantasy take: Donald Lee (rib) was removed from the injury report and is still expected to start in Week 11. He'll continue to see more work in the absence of Franks. The Packers have some injuries on defense, but this unit is still a solid option against Carolina.

Houston Texans
Out: CB Jamar Fletcher (appendicitis), RB Ahman Green (knee); Probable: S C.C. Brown (back), K Kris Brown (left foot), DT Amobi Okoye (neck).

Fantasy take:Matt Schaub (concussion) and Andre Johnson (knee) both practiced all week and will start in Week 11. Green will be inactive, so Ron Dayne will start against New Orleans and is a nice flex option.

Indianapolis Colts
Questionable: T Ryan Diem (ankle), T Daniel Federkeil (concussion), TE Bryan Fletcher (calf), CB Matt Giordano (hamstring), WR Anthony Gonzalez (hand), LB Tyjuan Hagler (neck), WR Marvin Harrison (knee), CB Daymeion Hughes (shoulder), CB Tim Jennings (upper leg), T Charlie Johnson (ankle), S Bob Sanders (knee).

Fantasy take: Gonzalez is out of action, so Aaron Moorehead would start if Harrison misses another week. Dallas Clark (concussion) returned to practice this week and will start against Kansas City. The Colts have lost Dwight Freeney for the season and have a ton of injuries on defense, so be cautious with this unit in Week 11.

Jacksonville Jaguars
Out: WR John Broussard (ankle); Questionable: TE Greg Estandia (foot); Probable: S Chad Nkang (thigh), WR Ernest Wilford (hip).

Fantasy take: David Garrard (ankle) was able to practice all week and will start against San Diego. Wilford put in a full practice on Friday and will be active.

Kansas City Chiefs
Out: RB Larry Johnson (foot), T Will Svitek (foot); Probable: T Damion McIntosh (ankle).

Fantasy take: Priest Holmes will continue to start in the absence of Johnson, who is out at least a few more weeks.

Miami Dolphins
Out DE Matt Roth (groin), LB Zach Thomas (migraine); Probable: DE Jason Taylor (ankle), DT Keith Traylor (ankle).

Fantasy take: The Dolphins have some injuries on defense, but this unit has had little value in fantasy football this season.

Minnesota Vikings
Out: RB Adrian Peterson (knee); Questionable: S Eric Frampton (groin), WR Sidney Rice (hamstring); Probable: T Ryan Cook (shoulder), DE Brian Robison (elbow), CB Antoine Winfield (hamstring).

Fantasy take: Peterson is out for Week 11, so Chester Taylor will start against Oakland and is a solid option for fantasy owners. Tarvaris Jackson (concussion) practiced all week and is expected to start. The possible absence of Winfield would increase the value of Ronald Curry and Jerry Porter.

New England Patriots
Questionable: LB Eric Alexander (knee), CB Eddie Jackson (knee), G Steve Neal (shoulder), LB Mike Vrabel (team decision), WR Wes Welker (team decision), S Eugene Wilson (ankle); Probable: QB Tom Brady (right shoulder).

Fantasy take: Welker was limited in practice all week and is listed as questionable, so be sure to check NFL.com for Sunday's inactives before you start or sit him.

New Orleans Saints
Out: DT Brian Young (knee); Doubtful: T Jammal Brown (calf); Questionable: DE Charles Grant (ankle), CB Usama Young (hamstring).

Fantasy take: The Saints could be without Brown, who hurt his calf in Week 10. That would hurt the effectiveness of the team's offensive line. The defense has some injuries, but it warrants little fantasy consideration overall.

New York Giants
Out: WR Steve Smith (shoulder, hamstring), RB Derrick Ward (ankle, groin); Questionable: WR Plaxico Burress (ankle), LB Antonio Pierce (concussion).

Fantasy take: Burress is listed as questionable due to his problematic ankle, but he is still expected to start in Week 11. Reuben Droughns will see more work behind Brandon Jacobs with Ward out.

New York Jets
Out: RB Stacy Tutt (knee); Full practice: WR Chris Davis (shoulder), DT Dewayne Robertson (knee); Probable: TE Chris Baker (back), T Anthony Clement (knee), TE Joe Kowalewski (shoulder), DE C.J. Mosley (shoulder), QB Chad Pennington (ankle), WR Brad Smith (back).

Fantasy take: Laveranues Coles (concussion) was able to practice all week and is not listed on the injury report, so he's safe to start in fantasy leagues.

Oakland Raiders
Out: C Jake Grove (knee), QB Josh McCown (quadriceps); Questionable: CB Nnamdi Asomugha (knee), LB Isaiah Ekejiuba (ankle), WR Jerry Porter (quadriceps), CB Fabian Washington (calf), LB Sam Williams (shoulder).

Fantasy take: McCown will be inactive for Week 11, so Daunte Culpepper will be back atop the depth chart against one of his former teams, the Minnesota Vikings. Porter put in a full practice on Friday, so he should start in Week 11. It appears that Washington has a chance to return, but Asomugha was limited in practice most of the week and remains questionable.

Philadelphia Eagles
Questionable: RB Brian Westbrook (knee); Probable: WR Jason Avant (groin), WR Kevin Curtis (thigh), C Jon Dorenbos (abdomen), CB William James (foot), DT Mike Patterson (ankle).

Fantasy take: Westbrook is listed as questionable, but Eagles head coach Andy Reid said his running back is still expected to start against a Miami defense that's in absolute shambles. Curtis is listed as probable and will start.

Pittsburgh Steelers
Out: LB LaMarr Woodley (hamstring); Probable: LB Andre Frazier (groin), RB Dan Kreider (player decision), RB Willie Parker (hip).

Fantasy take: Parker put in a full practice on Friday and will start in Week 11. Hines Ward (team decision) was removed from the injury report and is a nice fantasy option against the New York Jets.

San Diego Chargers
Out: DE Luis Castillo (ankle), C Nick Hardwick (foot) ; Questionable: DE Jacques Cesaire (toe), LB Marques Harris (toe), WR Vincent Jackson (abdomen); Probable: TE Antonio Gates (team decision), LB Shawne Merriman (ankle), LB Shaun Phillips (groin), S Eric Weddle (knee).

Fantasy take: The absence of Castillo is good news for the value of Maurice Jones-Drew and Fred Taylor in Week 11. The Chargers defense is riddled with injuries, so its value could fall from a fantasy perspective. Jackson, who has four catches in his last four games, could be limited or out. Gates is listed as probable and is a must-start option for owners.

San Francisco 49ers
Out: DT Aubrayo Franklin (calf), WR Ashley Lelie (quadriceps); Questionable: QB Shaun Hill (finger); Probable: RB Frank Gore (ankle), S Mark Roman (knee), QB Alex Smith (right forearm).

Fantasy take: Smith will not start in Week 11, so Trent Dilfer will be under center for the Niners. That's bad news for the team's offensive prospects in Week 11. Gore was limited in practice during the week, but is listed as probable and has a nice matchup against St. Louis.

Seattle Seahawks
Out: LB Will Herring (hamstring), S C.J. Wallace (knee); Questionable: RB Shaun Alexander (knee), DE Baraka Atkins (ankle), WR Deion Branch (foot), LB LeRoy Hill (hamstring), T Walter Jones (shoulder), DE Darryl Tapp (shoulder), T Ray Willis (knee); Probable: DT Rocky Bernard (groin).

Fantasy take: Alexander missed Friday's practice and is not expected to start in Week 11, which makes Maurice Morris a nice flex option. Deion Branch (foot) practiced all week and appears set to return against Chicago.

St. Louis Rams
Out: G Richie Incognito (knee); Questionable: C Brett Romberg (ankle); Probable: WR Isaac Bruce (hamstring), WR Dante Hall (ankle), DE James Hall (ankle).

Fantasy take:Torry Holt (knee) was removed from the injury report and will start in Week 11. Bruce was able to practice and should also start in San Francisco. Marc Bulger could be in trouble with Incognito out and Romberg limited are out on the offensive line.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Out: DE Greg Spires (calf); Questionable: RB B.J. Askew (ankle), LB Quincy Black (hamstring), DE Patrick Chukwurah (shoulder), WR Michael Clayton (ankle), RB Earnest Graham (ankle), RB Michael Pittman (ankle), T Jeremy Trueblood (shoulder); Probable: .

Fantasy take: Joey Galloway (team decision) was taken off the injury report and will start in Week 11. Graham was limited in Friday's practice, but he is still expected to start in Atlanta. Pittman is also expected to return to action this week, but in more of a third-down role.

Tennessee Titans
Out: RB Ahmard Hall (forearm); Questionable: CB Nicholas Harper (concussion), DT Albert Haynesworth (hamstring), T David Stewart (ankle).

Fantasy take: The Titans could be without Haynesworth for a second consecutive week, which would be good news for Denver's backfield. Chris Brown (ankle) was able to practice this week and should return in Week 11. LenDale White (knee) is not on the injury report and will start for the Titans.

Washington Redskins
Out: S Sean Taylor (knee), G Randy Thomas (triceps), WR James Thrash (ankle); Probable: G Pete Kendall (ankle), WR Santana Moss (heel), CB Fred Smoot (hamstring), LB Marcus Washington (hamstring).

Fantasy take: Taylor is out for a few weeks, so the Redskins' defensive backfield will be in some trouble in Dallas. Moss is probable and will start in Dallas, but he's a real risk for fantasy owners.
