Injuries: Marshawn Lynch (hamstring) undergoes MRI

One day after Marshawn Lynch left the Seahawks' shutout win over the Bears with a hamstring injury, the news regarding Beast Mode is that there is no news.

Seattle coach Pete Carroll told the media Monday that Lynch has had an MRI and will re-evaluated later in the week. NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported that the injury to Lynch's hamstring is considered minor, per a source informed of his condition.

Lynch went into the game as a game-time decision with a lingering calf issue, but the Seahawks ruled out their workhorse running back with the hamstring injury by halftime. He finished with just 14 yards on five carries.

Coach Pete Carroll said after the game that the injury is nothing to worry about.

"We've checked it all out, and there is nothing to be alarmed by," Carroll said. "So we'll just have to wait and see."

It's not a good sign that Lynch went into the game with one injury and left with another, which could suggest that he is beat up and has overall body fatigue. If the Seahawks went to get their offense in a nice rhythm against more competitive opponents than the Bears, they'll need Beast Mode to be at full strength.
