Injury roundup: Bears' Alshon Jeffery has calf injury

It didn't take long for the injury bug to hit the New Orleans Saints.

Cornerback Brandon Browner was carted off to the locker room at the end of Baltimore's 16-play, 80-yard scoring drive to open Thursday night's preseason tilt between the two teams.

Browner appeared to suffer the injury at the end of the drive when his lower leg was hit by the helmet of Saints linebacker Hau'oli Kikaha. The Ravens went on to win the game, 30-27.

Browner tweeted late Thursday night that he wasn't too concerned about the injury.

It's unclear how long he will be out.

Browner signed with the Saints after winning a Super Bowl ring with the Patriots last season. He's being counted on to help anchor coordinator Rob Ryan secondary, so losing Browner for any amount of time would be an unexpected nuisance for New Orleans.
