Jacksonville is headed to the playoffs in 2025, but will do so without one of its top cover men.
Jaguars cornerback Jourdan Lewis is set to undergo foot surgery and will miss the rest of the season, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported Thursday, per sources.
Lewis has been impactful in his first season with the Jaguars, generating two interceptions, 10 pass break-ups and five tackles for loss in 12 games. He arrived in Jacksonville on a three-year, $30 million contract this past spring after spending his previous eight seasons in Dallas.
The Jaguars defense has improved greatly in 2025, ranking second in the league in in the league in takeaways (28; 19 INTs, nine fumble recoveries) entering Week 16. A plus-12 turnover differential has helped lift Jacksonville to 11 wins with two games remaining.
After clinching a playoff spot in Week 16, the Jaguars can take the AFC South with a win or tie on Sunday in Indianapolis and a Houston loss.
