Jets WR Garrett Wilson (knee) placed on injured reserve, out at least four games

The New York Jets will be without their top playmaker for the next four games.

Wide receiver Garrett Wilson (knee) was placed on injured reserve ahead of New York's Thursday night game against the New England Patriots.

Wilson had already been ruled out for Thursday Night Football. Now, he'll miss Weeks 12-14, as well (at Baltimore Ravens, vs. Atlanta Falcons, vs. Miami Dolphins).

Wilson aggravated a knee injury in the Jets' Week 10 win over the Browns that had forced him to miss Weeks 7 and 8. Following New York's Week 9 bye, Wilson returned to action against Cleveland but was unable to record a reception before suffering the knee injury and missing the rest of the game.

Wilson remains the Jets' leader in receptions (36), receiving yards (395) and receiving touchdowns (four) this season despite the time already sidelined.

New York is currently on a two-game win streak after starting 2025 with seven straight losses. Maintaining that success without Wilson, who was out for the Jets' first win of the season, portends to be an uphill battle for an aerial-deficient Jets team that ranks last in the NFL with 143.8 yards per game.

Mason Taylor is the second leading receiver with 30 catches for 246 yards and one TD, while running back Breece Hall sits behind the tight end (22 receptions, 220 yards, TD).

Tyler Johnson and Arian Smith are set to be the top two WRs on the depth chart. They've combined for 16 receptions for 234 yards and one score this season.

Recently acquired Adonai Mitchell and John Metchie III could also be a factor in the passing game.
