- Atlanta has scheduled a second in-person interview with Texans assistant GM James Liipfert for its vacant general manager job later this week, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Bears assistant GM Ian Cunningham is also scheduled to interview for the role later this week, per Rapoport.

- OC Joe Brady is being promoted to head coach, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported. Buffalo has since announced the promotion.

- Head coach Sean Payton said Tuesday that QB Bo Nix had ankle condition that made a break inevitable. Payton added that he's "optimistic" Nix will be ready for training camp after undergoing successful surgery on Jan. 25.

- QB Drake Maye suffering an injury during Sunday's AFC title win is something that has "probably" been overblown on social media, head coach Mike Vrabel told reporters Tuesday. "Everybody, including Drake, is not 100% at this part of the year," Vrabel said.
