Headed to Hawaii: Rams to hold mandatory minicamp in Maui

The Los Angeles Rams already play in some of the nicest weather in the country. But this summer, they'll be working out in a more tropical climate.

The Rams will hold their mandatory minicamp in June on the island of Maui to kick off a partnership with the Hawaii Tourism Authority (HTA) to promote tourism to Maui and Hawaii. Hawaii Gov. Josh Green, M.D. and Los Angeles Rams team president Kevin Demoff announced the partnership Wednesday.

"Mauicamp" will take place June 16 through Thursday, June 19. On June 17 and 18, the Rams are expected to host on-field team activities with players at War Memorial Stadium in Wailuku, which has hosted the Hula Bowl game in years past. The Rams will also participate in a variety of community events throughout the week.

"We are thrilled to return to Hawaii and for the first time in the NFL bring Minicamp to Maui," Demoff said in a statement. "Los Angeles and Hawaii share a special relationship and we are grateful to HTA for teaming with us for this historic partnership. Not only will this trip be a great opportunity for our players, coaches and their families to spend time together in a special setting, but also for our organization to celebrate and pour into youth football programs and players who call Maui home."

This partnership builds on the Rams' previous efforts to connect with fans in Hawaii, including hosting a 2019 preseason game versus the Dallas Cowboys at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu.

This also follows the Rams' relief efforts in the wake of the devastating Maui wildfires in August 2023, organizing fundraising opportunities alongside other Los Angeles professional sports organizations.
