Atlanta Falcons' Asante Samuel suffers another shoulder injury

Atlanta Falcons cornerback Asante Samuel will play in "Thursday Night Football" against the New Orleans Saints, according to a team source, despite being listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

The Falcons later confirmed that Samuel was active, but he didn't last long in the game. He suffered another shoulder injury in the first quarter and was questionable to return. Falcons coach Mike Smith later told NFL Network's Alex Flanagan that Samuel likely was out for the game.

Samuel, an All-Pro defender, has 28 tackles and two interceptions this season.
