Calf muscle injury sidelines Titans OT Stewart; LB Ruud out

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans deactivated right tackle David Stewart for Sunday's game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers because of a calf muscle.

Stewart hurt his right calf during a 23-17 loss at Atlanta last week, and he's missing just his second start since moving into the lineup in 2006. He missed a start because of an injury in 2009.

Titans linebacker Barrett Ruud is missing his second start this season after aggravating an injured groin. Rookie Colin McCarthy started in Ruud's spot.

The Bucs deactivated defensive end Michael Bennett, who had been doubtful with an injured groin. Da'Quan Bowers started at left end.

The Titans also sat running back Jamie Harper and wide receiver Donnie Avery.

The Bucs' other inactives included wide receiver Michael Spurlock.
