Former Tennessee Titans first-round wide receiver Treylon Burks is expected to sign with the Washington Commanders' practice squad, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Thursday.
Washington announced the signing on Friday.
Burks, 25, played three seasons for the Titans before being waived/injured in late July following a collarbone injury. He was officially waived with an injury settlement on Oct. 7 and went unclaimed. Burks had visited both the Broncos and Commanders before signing with Washington.
The Commanders' WR room has been decimated with recent injuries to Terry McLaurin, Deebo Samuel and Noah Brown. Brown (groin) was placed on injured reserve, while Samuel (heel) did not practice on Thursday and McLaurin (quad) was limited but hasn't played since Week 3.
Burks was the 18th overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft, taken with the selection the Titans acquired after trading A.J. Brown to the Philadelphia Eagles. In three seasons in Tennessee, Burks caught just 53 passes for 699 yards and one touchdown in 27 games (17 starts). He also ran 11 times for 66 yards and had one 21-yard kickoff return.
