New York Giants cut safety Brandon Meriweather

Brandon Meriweather is looking for a new job.

The New York Giants announced Wednesday that they have released the safety. Meriweather joined the Giants in August.

The eight-year veteran started 11 games for New York before missing the last two with a knee injury. He compiled 53 tackles and two interceptions for Big Blue.

Meriweather's release leaves the Giants with just three safeties: Landon Collins, Craig Dahl and Cooper Taylor.
