WAIVERS

  • OL Jake Andrews was claimed off waivers, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. Houston has since announced the claim.

FIFTH-YEAR OPTIONS

  • DE George Karlaftis' fifth-year option is being exercised, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported.
  • CB Trent McDuffie's fifth-year options is being exercised, Pelissero reported.

SIGNINGS

  • RB J.K. Dobbins has been given an unrestricted free-agent (UFA) tender from the Chargers and remains eligible to sign with any club, per the league transaction wire. Dobbins still counts against the compensatory formula if he signs with another team before training camps open in July, but the Chargers will receive exclusive negotiating rights for him if he doesn't.

SIGNINGS

  • LB Andrew Van Ginkel is signing a one-year, $23 million contract extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday.

  • LS Joe Cardona was released, the club announced. Cardona, a former fifth-round pick of the Patriots, played for New England for 10 seasons and was part of two Super Bowl-winning teams. The Patriots drafted Julian Ashby in the 2025 draft's seventh round on April 26th, the first long snapper taken in a draft since 2021.

  • QB Ben DiNucci has been released, the veteran backup announced. DiNucci signed with New Orleans' practice squad midway through last season after Derek Carr's season-ending wrist injury, but never played for the Saints.

SIGNINGS

  • TE George Kittle has signed a four-year, $76.4 million extension, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported. Kittle's new contract make's him the league's highest-paid TE once again.
  • OT D.J. Humphries has agreed to terms, per his agency.

  • K Matt Gay is signing a one-year deal worth more than $4.25 million guaranteed, NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero reported. Pelissero adds that Gay's deal is the most fully guaranteed money for a kicker on a one-year deal in NFL history.
