Jaire Alexander hasn't played for the Green Bay Packers since Week 11 and it's unlikely he will again this season.
Alexander, who's been dealing with a PCL tear, is likely out for the remainder of the Packers' campaign, head coach Matt LaFleur said Wednesday.
Alexander recently underwent a knee scope, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported, to clean out some loose bodies and alleviate swelling. He will undergo rehab and could potentially be ready for a return in a few weeks, Rapoport added.
Green Bay has clinched a playoff spot and will be on the road for Super Wild Card Weekend after its regular-season finale Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Alexander's already missed nine games this year, leaving the Green Bay defense without its two-time Pro Bowl cornerback.
The third-highest paid corner in the game on an annual basis ($21 million), Alexander has been plagued by injury problems and over the past four regular seasons will have played in only 34 of a possible 68 games.
Alexander's 2024 campaign will end with him having posted 16 tackles, seven pass breakups and two interceptions in seven games (seven starts).
