Tim Tebow limited at New York Jets practice, status uncertain

FLORHAM PARK, N.J. -- Tim Tebow was limited in practice again with two broken ribs, leaving the New York Jets backup quarterback's status uncertain for the team's game Sunday against the Arizona Cardinals.

Coach Rex Ryan said Thursday that the Jets will continue to "monitor his situation." Tebow was injured at Seattle on Nov. 11, played three offensive snaps the following week at St. Louis and was active but didn't play last Thursday against New England. Greg McElroy would be the backup to Mark Sanchez if Tebow can't go.

Wide receiver Clyde Gates did not practice because of a concussion suffered against the Patriots. Safety LaRon Landry received his regularly scheduled day off.

Cornerback Aaron Berry (quadriceps), right guard Brandon Moore (hip), nose tackle Sione Pouha (back) and linebacker Ricky Sapp (ankle) were limited.
