The Fit Files

Top NFL fits & fashion: Kyler Gordon, Caleb Williams among best-dressed in Week 7

Quarterbacks Justin Fields and Jayden Daniels took center stage in our Week 6 installment of The Fit Files: NFL's Five Best-Dressed. Two more QBs made the cut this week -- but they were ultimately outpaced by a flashy defensive back who totaled more single-week votes than any other player this season.

Before we dig in, here is a quick refresher on the members of our voting panel:

Terron Armstead -- Former five-time Pro Bowl left tackle for the Saints and Dolphins (2013-2024); currently hosts The Set podcast on YouTube bi-weekly on Monday/Thursday night.

  • Fashion vision: Fashion is our daily "first impression." It's our non-verbal expression, so I use it as the first line of communication.

Jamie Erdahl -- Host of Good Morning Football on NFL Network and the nationally syndicated show GMFB OT.

  • Fashion vision: Designer sweatshirts take the cake.

Ini Sebastian Ikpe -- Leading celebrity stylist and image consultant known for his work in sports and entertainment.

  • Fashion vision: Styling is more than dressing. It's about crafting a narrative that reflects identity, commands presence and sparks conversation. Dress accordingly.

Jason McCourty -- Super Bowl champion and former cornerback for the Titans, Browns, Patriots and Dolphins (2009-2021); current ESPN studio analyst/CBS game analyst.

  • Fashion vision: Fashion is confidence, and confidence is a stain you can't wipe off!

Chad Johnson -- Custom clothier and designer for Duane & Johnson menswear tailoring.

  • Fashion vision: Where style outlives the season -- fashion, to me, is making today timeless.

And finally, I am a national TV reporter for NFL Network, and my fashion vision is: Dress how you want to be addressed and wear what helps you exude, "I'm HIM."

A NOTE ON METHODOLOGY: Panelists voted on a list of fits shown off before games from Thursday through Monday, with five points being assigned to each first-place vote, four-points being assigned to each second-place vote, and so on. For players who have previously earned votes, we will list their season point total and mark any prior top-five finishes.

Here, presented in reverse order, are the winners from Week 7:

5) C.J. Stroud, QB, Houston Texans

Points: 6 | Season point total: 9

Ikpe describes the vibe of this outfit as relaxed sophistication meets art collector, saying it makes Stroud look "like he just stepped out of a SoHo gallery." The coat is the star of this fit, and it is a good match for Stroud's energy.

T3) Caleb Williams, QB, Chicago Bears

Points: 7

Ikpe calls the vibe here the embodiment of modern Americana fashion meets global luxury, noting this is a "polished statement look done effortlessly with confidence."

Peep the details of Williams' fire jacket -- it features the retired numbers of former Chicago Bears players on the sleeves (along with No. 50, which was worn by Hall of Famer Mike Singletary but was not retired), with Williams' number in the middle, an effort to speak into existence what he hopes will be a Hall of Fame career. Talk about confidence.

T3) Davon Godchaux, DT, New Orleans Saints

Points: 7

Big man love! Godchaux's coat makes it look like lights are literally dancing on it -- it's such a unique, fun outfit. And all black for business mode. Godchaux put on it with this one.

2) Rashee Rice, WR, Kansas City Chiefs

Points: 8

Rice, who was suspended for the first six games of 2025 and missed most of 2024 with a knee injury, returned to the field in Week 7, snaring a pair of touchdown catches in the Chiefs' rout of the Raiders. He also showed off this leather matching set, which suggests he could pull off being the leader of a biker crew and the star of a new-age rock band. Three of our panelists had Rice in their top four.

1) Kyler Gordon, CB, Chicago Bears

Points: 20 | Season point total: 26

A showstopper fit. Gordon looks like the boss of any spot he's walking into, and that was reflected by the four first-place votes he earned (McCourty, Ikpe, Johnson and myself) from our six-person panel.

Ikpe describes the vibe of this look as Gotham City meets GQ/Power,** adding it gives "a modern mobster aesthetic that channels luxury tailoring with edge."

Gordon glides with confidence rocking this black matching pinstripe look, and -- like the Bears have in their past four games -- he's winning.
